Following in the footsteps of “Grand Prix” in the 60’s and more recently “Rush”, a new fictional film based on the Formula One world is set to hit cinema screens next year.

The first preview trailer for the film, simply entitled “F1” has just been released. The film is to be directed by Joseph Kosinski and will blend footage from actual races with a fictional story. Star of the show will be Brad Pitt, playing a back-from-retirement driver, with his protégé played by  Damon Idris. F1 is written by Ehren Kruger, who produced the scrip for Top Gun: Maverick and 3 Transformers movies.

The story centres around an underdog team called Apex Grand Prix and will feature cameo appearances from many drivers and team managers.
