Every now and again a product really captures the imagination of the independent garage sector and everyone wants to own it. This is certainly the cases with the newly-introduced Engine Timing Kit - for VW Group 1.5 TSi Petrol (part number 8824, with 8866 adaptor kit).
Introduced just last month, when it was featured in Autobiz, the tool has been so successful that an anticipated six months worth of stock was sold in just 2 weeks. This means that the kit is currently unavailable, but Laser state that it will be back on the shelves very soon.
Laser Tools Marketing Manager, Lisa Davison said, “We have witnessed an extraordinary demand for these precision tools, which has seen us sell 6 months projected stock in 2 weeks. The enthusiasm from the automotive community has been truly remarkable, and we are grateful for the trust and interest shown in our products.”
She adds, “We are currently facing a temporary stock shortage due to this demand, but can reassure customers that we are working diligently to resolve this, with our manufacturing plant in Sheffield already in production of the parts for this timing-tool kit. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers during this period, and we encourage interested parties to place back orders for the Laser Tools 8824 and 8866 kits, ensuring they are among the first to receive the products once they become available.”
The new kit, allows the user to align, set and check the camshaft timing of the Volkswagen Group EA 211, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engines without the need to resort to computer-based alignment tools, offering a significant saving on OEM tooling.
Applications include: Audi from 2017, Seat from 2015, Skoda from 2015 and Volkswagen from 2015, covering 1.0L, 1.2L, 1.4L, & 1.6L TSI petrol engines and engine variants: TSi ACT, EA211 3 & 4-cylinder (without ACT).
The new kit and adaptor kit will be available again in the coming weeks.
