An FAG bearing kit for the Mini Countryman and Mini Paceman, manufactured as original equipment (OE) by Schaeffler, is now available to the Irish aftermarket.

Kit No. 713 6497 70 covers the rear axle for all-wheel drive versions of the Countryman and Paceman produced by Mini from August 2010 onwards.

The kit includes a generation 3 hub bearing with multipole encoder for ABS, ASR and ESP systems, plus the centering nut for fastening the unit to the drive shaft. Also included are stretch bolts for fixing the unit to the steering knuckle and a protection ring for the encoder.
