When working on high-end, show-quality classic vehicles or automotive displays, the fit and finish of the fasteners is just as important as the paint and bodywork. For example, chrome-plated fasteners can be damaged easily, especially when using standard metal spanners and sockets. To combat this Laser Tools has introduced a specialist non-marring imperial (AF) Socket/Wrench Insert Set. 

 
With classic or show vehicles, fasteners can be plated, anodised, chemically passivated or even painted. Lots of care and attention has been put into building and preparing these vehicles, so extra care and attention is also required when working on them. 

To avoid damage the socket inserts set (part number 8468) offers four imperial-sized inserts; 3/8" to fit 1/2" socket, 7/16" to fit 9/16" socket, 1/2" to fit 5/8" socket, and 9/16" to fit 11/16" socket. These can also be used with ring spanners.

The tough and robust inserts are made from a PA6 nylon and glass fibre composite for long-lasting durability. They are supplied with a snap-together metal ring to keep them safe and tidy.

The imperial (AF) sizing makes them ideal for classic cars and motorcycles. A metric version is also available, part number 7463.
