LIQUI MOLY to introduce Bag-in-Box Packaging

German lubricant specialist will be introducing a new packaging innovation in 2024, with six of its popular motor oils available in the so-called Bag-In-Box format. 


This new style packaging offers several advantages, with significantly less plastic thanks to recyclable cardboard packaging. It also means more storage space for customers thanks to space-saving, easily stackable dimensions and handy and aesthetic storage. The packs also deliver clean and precise pouring thanks to new pouring mechanism with a strong odour barrier. 

Initially the following oils will be available in the practical new packaging:
  • 21840 Special Tec F 0W-30
  • 21841 Special Tec F 5W-30
  • 21842 Top Tec 4200 5W-30 New Generation
  • 21843 Top Tec 4310 0W-30
  • 21844 Top Tec 4400 5W-30
  • 21845 Top Tec 4600 5W-3
Other engine oils will follow over time.

Export Director Salvatore Coniglio commented, "We presented this new packaging technology to our valued customers and the public for the first time at the “Au2messe” trade fair in Denmark, which is organised by our valued partner CAC. Denmark is already known to be very demanding in this area, which is why we have decided to launch in this market and prove ourselves here. The reactions were consistently positive. We want to make our contribution to reducing plastic waste while at the same time making work and transportation easier and taking up less storage space. We are certain that Bag-in-Box will only bring benefits for our customers and partners."

The new packaging option will be phases in across Europe during 2024.
