Schaeffler OneCode now easier to use & more bonus points

Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions has redesigned its product packaging with a focus on the OneCode label. This ensures that technicians will see the code before making a repair, making it easier to access all the associated product-specific information on the REPXPERT garage portal.

Workshop members can also now collect more bonus points, as the REPXPERT bonus program has been extended to include every single product in the Schaeffler portfolio.

The Schaeffler OneCode provides a direct link to product-specific information via a unique QR code on the packaging which can help simplify repairs, because with just one scan from a smartphone, repair-relevant, continuously updated information on over 40,000 Schaeffler products is easily accessible. This single scan gives you instant access to our extensive parts catalogue, technical data library and information on special tools – and because the Schaeffler OneCode also contains the individual serial number of the item, the authenticity of the product in the box can be verified in real time. Last but not least, the Schaeffler REPXPERT garage portal also offers access to a comprehensive range of training courses.

Schaeffler has also expanded the REPXPERT bonus program. The biggest change is that members will now receive bonus points for every product in the Schaeffler range, which can then be exchanged for value-added diagnostics data, or attractive rewards such as clothing, tools and merchandise in the bonus shop.

As part of the update to the bonus program, Schaeffler has adapted and standardised the points system so that the number of points received for an item is now based on the average price of the product category, which can be seen immediately after the scan or looked up in the product catalogue using the part number. The points values of some products may have changed due to the expansion of the program.

“The importance of packaging is often underestimated. For us, it is one of our most powerful means of communicating with garages", explains Sven Olev Müller, Head of REPXPERT at Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions. "That is why we have updated our packaging design to offer mechanics even more added value in their day-to-day garage routine - on one hand by accelerating the repair process, and on the other because every single scan is now worth bonus points. In line with our mission, we are driving digital transformation in the aftermarket, increasing the competitiveness of garages and also reducing our ecological footprint – as there are no longer paper inserts in our product boxes. The bonus point coupon and installation instructions are now easily accessible via one simple scan.”

Schaeffler encourages aftermarket professionals to stay updated with its latest news by regularly checking the REPXPERT app, or by visiting the website at: www.repxpert.co.uk.
