VARTA highlights battery testing potential VARTA encourages workshops to test batteries at every service

VARTA is urging every garage to test every battery in every car that comes into their workshop over the coming months.

At least every third car breakdown is caused by the battery. Testing allows a defective battery to be identified before it fails, thus meaning that garages do not risk their customer’s cars breaking down.

Checking a battery is a quick and easy process and using VARTA support tools, means that results can be clearly presented to customers, who can then make an informed choice about the recommendation. Over 25% of batteries tested are likely to need replacement. VARTA estimates that 80% of customers will follow the recommendation and purchase a replacement battery when required.

Customers who do not need a replacement, or a charge, are also satisfied that their battery has been checked and found to be in good health.

By testing a battery, the workshop is not only boosting business through replacements, but also boosting customer satisfaction levels and building stronger long term customer relations and building trust.

VARTA has produced a clear and concise video about the benefits of battery testing for both motorists and garages.
