OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LEDs have been launched across Europe and are now available in Ireland and 24 other European countries.

ams OSRAM is the first company to offer street legal1 LED retrofit lamps in Germany and is now the first to bring it to several European countries. The OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED family offers better visibility and thus greater safety for specific vehicles.

OSRAM, a global leader in optical solutions, launched its OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED-family across Europe. The national approval for H7 LED and W5W LED is now also valid in other European countries, as well as Ireland. This makes the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED the first approved LED replacement lamp in Europe and in Ireland. With the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED range, drivers benefit from permanently better vision and visibility in road traffic.

While LED headlights are now standard on many cars, halogen-based headlights often lack brightness. With the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER family consisting of the H7 LED and W5W LED, OSRAM offers LED replacement lamps to bring halogen headlights up to the state-of-the-art in numerous European countries. These LED lamps last longer and produce a more attractive light than those based on halogen technology. With the extension, the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER retrofit lamps are now available in various new European countries.

The light from the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED is up to three times brighter than the minimum legal requirements and comparable in colour to daylight. The lamps thus ensure strong contrasts and a long range. Thanks to LED technology, they shine up to five times longer than a comparable halogen version, need to be replaced correspondingly less often, and also consume less energy. 

OSRAM has had a German national approval for H7 LED since 2020 and the W5W LED were also approved, and is now valid also in other European countries, including Ireland. This makes the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LED the first approved LED replacement lamp in Ireland. 

As replacement lamps, the OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER® LEDs are approved for use in certain vehicles as stated in the approval documents. OSRAM, in collaboration with TÜV-Süd and with the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) has proven for a wide range of headlamps and vehicle types that replacement lamps lead to legal beam performance that meets UNECE requirements.   

OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LEDs are now available from OSRAM stockists.
