Automechanika Birmingham which takes place from 6-8 June, has announced it will be offering workshop owners the opportunity to save money, improve their business and update their knowledge in a special Workshop Training Zone at this year event. In the zone visitors will have the chance to pick up practical tips and technical know-how and see live demonstrations from leading industry experts.

In association with autotechnician and sponsored by AcTronics, the Workshop Training Zone provides two exciting elements for visitors; Technical Talks and the Interactive Workshop.
Technical Talks will be given by industry experts with speakers set to include Frank Massey, James Dillon, Andy Crook and Peter Coombes.
Frank Massey will present the evolution of petrol direct injection, expose some of the hidden myths that it is cleaner or less harmful than diesel, and give an insight into the way vehicles will be serviced and repaired in the future. James Dillon will be providing a technical talk and a real-world view on the future of vehicle diagnostics. Peter Coombes will highlight the key technology features of modern electric and hybrid vehicles, including battery and drive-motor technologies, transmission systems, energy recovery systems and power electronics. Andy Crook from GotBoost Ltd will look at battery technology, the role of the energy management system and the opportunities for workshops during his seminar.
Other presentation on subjects including timing and auxiliary belt systems, the circular car and tackling technology will be delivered by Ralf Pelkmann from TecAlliance, Thijs Jasink from AcTronics, Neil Hilton from HELLA and the Dayco technical team.
Alongside the Technical Talks, expert speakers and feature partners will be on hand in the Interactive Workshop offering one to one advice and demonstrating technical tips for technicians to put to use in their business. Visitors can see live action demos from AcTronics, Bartec Auto ID, Delphi, ECOBAT, HELLA, The IMI, Bosch and many others.
