Delphi has announced an aggressive new-to-range program, as part of plans to become a leader in steering and suspension coverage.

Backed by extensive technician support, the initiative will see Delphi add more than 1,000 SKUs annually in 2024, 2025, and 2026, ultimately covering more than 180 million vehicles across the EMEA region.

Laurence Batchelor, Global Product Lead for chassis, braking, and steering and suspension at Delphi commented, “By ensuring more than 180 million vehicles in the EMEA region are covered, we’re giving workshops unparalleled access to the parts they need.”

The extensive range will include more than 400 control arms, 40 ball joints, 50 engine mounts, and 100 inner and outer tie rods. Additionally, eight steering and suspension kits for VW Group and BMW are being introduced.

With the electric vehicle market continuing to grow, Delphi’s expanding range includes more than 50 EV-specific part numbers. Applications include steering and suspension components for Volkswagen ID.3, Peugeot 2008, BMW iX3, Kia EV6, Hyundai IONIQ 5, and Porsche Taycan.

Delphi is also extending its coverage to include electric light commercial vehicles such as the Citroën ë-Berlingo, Volkswagen e-Crafter, and Iveco eDaily.

Recognising Tesla’s market position, Delphi is introducing new control arms for the best-selling Tesla Model Y, along with 18 additional part numbers for other Tesla models.

“Delphi goes beyond just parts,” said Luke Garratt, UK Technical Services Manager at Delphi. “With the car parc continuing to evolve all the time, we’re also on-hand to help technicians complete the job with diagnostics, training and technical insights.”

Delphi’s ‘complete workshop solutions’ concept includes a face-to-face training course and 28 hours of online Delphi Academy content, focused on steering and suspension systems.

When it comes to diagnostics, Delphi’s latest DS diagnostics software includes steering angle sensor calibration for 622 models. It also supports calibration for yaw sensors, accelerometers, and lateral and longitudinal sensors. Additionally, the software provides complete air suspension coverage, allowing for height sensor calibration and inflation/deflation procedures.

Further aiding technicians, a wealth of technical articles, guides, tips and advice is available on Delphi’s Master of Motion hub where new instructional videos are released every Thursday. Topics already covered include ADAS calibration and step-by-step guidance on the replacement of steering and suspension parts.
