People often wonder how Formula 1 racing could be made more exciting, but perhaps staging a Grand Prix on snow might be a step too far. A glimpse of how it might look has however been provide by 18-year-old race ace Max Verstappen.
In a recent publicity stunt for his sponsors, Verstappen drove a Red Bull RB7 race car down an Austria ski run. The car was air lifted to the top of the course by helicopter and then let-loose on the famous Kitzbühel downhill run.
The team kited out the car with special studded tyres and snow chains and had to increase the ride height but other than that it was a standard F1 car. Verstappen made it down the mountain and you can see how he got on in the video below.
