Automechanika Birmingham has announced a comprehensive programme of talks and seminars designed to provide visitors to the show with an improved understanding of automotive technological developments and the effect these are likely to have on the aftermarket as a whole and independent garages in particular.


The programme of seminars and forums takes place over the course of the three day event in three special theatre areas which will be located around the main exhibition. These are; the Aftermarket Seminars Theatre, Keynote Theatre and the Tech Talk Theatre. These free to attend seminars will be given by many of the leading experts in the aftermarket and are sure to prove insightful and informative, helping motor trade businesses be better prepared for the future.

Key topics covered to be covered include:

- The general outlook for the aftermarket
- The impact of digitalisation and connectivity
- Filtration opportunities in relation to electric vehicles
- ADAS Calibration
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicles and the need for technician training
- Alignment
- Delivering best practice in managing customer complaints
- A glimpse into the near future in engine oils
- How to maximise profit from vehicle diagnostics
- Explaining Euro 5 Pass-Thru Diagnostics, the myths and opportunities

There will also be Top Technician expert session and key note talks on subjects such as electrification and future mobility.

Each session last either half an hour or 45 minutes giving show visitors plenty of time to browse the full exhibition.

The presenters include many senior managers from leading aftermarket companies and organisations such as SMMT, IAAF, DVSA, GiPA, Autodata, The IMI, RMI, Mann+Hummell, Frost & Sullivan, Delphi Technologies, Hella Gutmann Solutions, Elta Automotive, Castrol UK, Valeo, Ecobat, Snap-on and ACtronics.
