With Automechanika Birmingham now almost upon us, thoughts will soon be turning to Automechanika Frankfurt, the original and largest international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket. This year’s event takes place from September 11th to 15th, with the 2018 exhibition marking the 25th anniversary of the biennial global trade fair.

To celebrate 25 years the organisers are introducing new themes and special features for the 2018 show. These will include a special feature on aftermarket opportunities in the classic car market and alongside the main fair will run REIFEN, the already established flagship fair for tyres and tyre equipment. Both of these new themes will be located in the new Hall 12.

Looking to the future the Frankfurt Festhalle at the event will have a special "Workshop of the future” feature and there will be a keen emphasis on tomorrows’ technology in terms of alternative drive systems and autonomous driving.

With regard to the main business and networking opportunities with suppliers from all over the world, exhibitor numbers are expected to be well up on the 4843 companies that exhibited in 2016.
