Laser Tools has introduced a new Ball Joint Separator, a robust scissor-type ball joint splitter engineered specifically for Land Rover models.

The new tool (part number 8899) is the equivalent to JLR OEM 204-793A and provides an efficient solution for ball joint separation in applications, including; Land Rover Discovery V (L462 chassis from 2016), Range Rover IV (L405 from 2012), and Range Rover Sport II (L494 from 2013).

Weighing in at a powerful 3.7kg, the separator is manufactured from heat-treated 45 carbon steel for strength, hardness, durability and wear resistance. It is easy to use simply by adjusting to  fit, and then apply tension to the joint. A quick tap with a hammer will crack the ball joint and it can be removed. Laser recommends always following the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines and keeping the tool lubricated with black molybdenum disulphide grease for a long and useful life.

It is now available from Laser Tools stockists.
