Interbrand’s 16th annual Best Global Brands report has identified the 100 most valuable global brands.

Apple, Google and Coca Cola are the top three but there was good news for the motor industry as fourteen brands are amongst the top 100 for 2015.

Interbrand’s annual ranking identifies the 100 most valuable global brands by analyzing the many ways a brand benefits an organization - from delivering on customer expectations to driving economic value. Interbrand’s Best Global Brands methodology was the first brand valuation method to become ISO certified.

The ranking is based on a combination of attributes that contribute to a brand’s cumulative value:
• The financial performance of the branded products and services
• The role the brand plays in influencing customer choice
• The strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company

Toyota tops the car makers’ list in 6th place with BMW in 11th and Mercedes-Benz coming in at number 12. Next on the list are Honda at 19, Volkswagen at 35, Ford (38), Hyundai (39), Audi (44), Nissan (49), Porsche (56) and Kia (74). Others include Chevrolet (85), Land Rover (86) and MINI (98).

And, if you add John Deere and Harley Davidson, then the Automotive sector hold 16 % of the companies listed in this years report.
