Autologic Diagnostics have announced the launch of new diagnostic software for the Porsche 928 and the new 981 Cayman models.
The Porsche 928 was produced from 1977 to 1995. Earlier models did not feature in-built diagnostics, however from the early 90's, all 928’s saw basic diagnostics introduced. This was provided through the same 19-pin round connector as the newer 993 and 964 models.
Following a number of customer requests, the Autologic software team set about implementing Autologic software for the later 928 vehicles. The software produced includes all of the possible diagnostics on these later models, including control module identification, fault reading and clearing, all live data, drive links (activations), alarm events history and coding.
Sofware has also been produced for the mid-engined Cayman 981 model launched by Porsche earlier this year. Again the initial software release already consists of control module identification, live data, drive links, manual and automatic coding. All possible control module programming is also available. As with all new Porsche models, new control module variants are continuously being added. In the event that an Autologic user discovers a previously unknown variant, the Autologic for PORSCHE software team can usually develop and release a software update for it within 24 hours.
