Ignition and sensor specialist NGK has announced that two staff members have taken on the responsibility for sales in Ireland following the recent retirement of Area Manager Stewart Neill.

Tim Ward, Deputy General Manager – Key Accounts, NGK Spark Plugs, will take on the role in the Republic of Ireland while North West Sales Representative Paul Gair will be responsible for Northern Ireland.

Stewart Neill retired at the end of last month after 32 years working on behalf of NGK throughout Ireland helping establish the company as a leading supplier of original equipment spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda and assorted engine management sensors.

Tim Ward said, “I am looking forward to continuing my close relationship with NGK’s customers in the Republic. When I became Stewart’s line manager ten years ago, he helped educate me about the market-place and we worked together to retain and develop business opportunities with our customers which I will continue to build on over the coming months. I know that Paul too is excited at the prospect of working with our customers in Northern Ireland and has already been introduced to some of them.”

Paul Gair, who will continue to look after the North West England territory, said, “I have had some previous experience working in the Northern Ireland market-place and cannot wait to reacquaint myself with some old friends and also make new ones. I look forward to working closely with our customers and to continue to develop their strong relationship with NGK.”
