The Danish thermal, turbo and efficiency experts, Nissens Automotive, has announced the addition of electrical water pumps to its range from July. The new product group includes both auxiliary and main water pumps, with 35 items offering good coverage of popular vehicles in the European car parc.

Executive Vice President for Nissens Automotive, Klavs T. Pedersen says, “Electric water pumps are a natural step for Nissens. We already have one of the most extensive engine cooling solutions in the aftermarket, and we have proven that we have the experience and know-how to develop high quality technical products. The focus has been on quality, security and solutions that actually take the workload of the mechanic into account and we are proud to present a product group that does just that.”

Klavs adds, “We have implemented a security feature in all of our water pumps that ensures that the product does not overheat if the impeller should become stuck. If this happens, our products will enter a low-pressure state and limit the amps. It is a unique feature that we are proud to present, as it gives a clear benefit to car owners.”

Klavs also points out that the pumps are made with highest quality plastic elements, connectors are matching OE, performance is matching OE, and all vibration isolators and mounting brackets match OE to ensure quick and easy installation.

The range also forms part of Nissens ‘First Fit’ concept, which aims to decrease installation time for mechanics. Klavs explains, “When replacing a water pump, the pump itself is rarely the main cost driver, it is the time spent replacing it. Therefore, focus has been on ease of installation. To ensure this, screws are included in the box whenever needed. Moreover, we have made sure that a bracket is included with parts where needed. The bracket is essential when installing these specific items, and if not included, mechanics will have to spend time sourcing it from elsewhere.”
