As part of its commitment to provide the aftermarket with access to practical automotive training, MEYLE has created a range of online training modules.

The training is designed to support workshops with practical tips and clever repair solutions. Modules can be completed online and last around 1.5 hours. Participants can pause training and work at their own pace at a time that suits them. If they pass a knowledge test they are awarded a training certificate. Courses are free of charge with only a simple registration required.

A module that is proving very popular is MEYLE High voltage training. This provides an overview of the developing technology and compares the powertrains of battery electric vehicles (BEV) with that of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and mild hybrids (HEV).

The e-learning course also covers the legal framework around electric vehicles and the risks posed by a high-voltage systems, including the effect of electric shocks and arcs on the human body. There is also a section on first aid in case of electric shock accidents.
