Schaeffler and Audi have announced that they have extended their partnership in Europe’s most popular touring car race series, the DTM championship. Defending champion Mike Rockenfeller will once again be behind the wheel of the Schaeffler Audi RS 5 in the 2014 series.

The team has taken two of the last three titles and Rockenfeller, known as ‘Rocky’ to his many fans, is hoping to make it a hat trick in the green and yellow Schaeffler colours.

Prof. Dr. Peter Gutzmer, Schaeffler’s Board Member for Development, said, “Schaeffler, Audi, Phoenix Racing and Mike Rockenfeller. This combination is simply a perfect fit and that’s why we’re delighted that this success story will continue.” He added, “Motorsports have traditionally had a special significance at Schaeffler and with its brands LuK, INA and FAG.”
