Steering and suspension specialist Sidem, used Automechanika to present a new logo and corporate image and a fresh customer oriented approach to the aftermarket. The company recently became  Europe’s first fully vertically-integrated supplier and has made significant investments in an in-house forging line and new QR code packaging.

The new Sidem packaging with scannable QR codes, allows technicians and stockist to simply scan the code to access technical information, product specifications and installation instructions, for added fitting speed and convenience.

Speaking about the production investment in a new in-house forging line, Gwen Verfaillie, MD at Sidem said, "This allows us to truly embrace the future. With our own forging line, we are not only free to adopt new trends, we can also speed up the development processes. By becoming the first fully integrated supplier in Europe, we have eliminated the need for outsourcing, and can easily respond to the demand of our clients. Also most importantly, we can ensure the quality of the forging process from beginning to end.”

Tecnoparts has worked in partnership with Sidem for many years in Ireland and John McCann was at Autmechanika to discuss the latest developments. He said, "At Tecnoparts we strongly favour brands that have their own production facilities and Sidem fits this bill perfectly. It means they can provide excellent technical back-up, consistent top quality and adapt quicker to changing market demands.”

John also points out that a close working relationship with Siden ensures excellent product availability and coverage for the Irish market.
He comments, "More and more customers in Ireland now rely on Sidem for their steering and suspension needs and the latest developments will provide a further boost. The range now features over 5000 part numbers and the product quality is always first class.”
