Tesla approves Car-O-Liner Welders

Car-O-Liner has announced that leading electric vehicle maker, Tesla, has approved five welders from its range. The official approval applies to Car-O-Liner Resistance Spot Welders CTR9 and CTR12000 as well as MIG/MAG welders CMI273 Twin Pulse, CMI300 Duo & CMI300 Trio.


These welders join the other Tesla approved Car-O-Liner alignment and measuring systems: BenchRack, Quick42, Speed, EVO and Car-O-Tronic Vision2 X3. The company says that these approvals are a vote of confidence in its innovative equipment and service.

The gas metal arc welders, CMI273 Pulse Twin, CMI300 Pulse Duo and CMI300 Pulse Trio are approved for aluminium and steel GMA welding during structural repairs on Tesla vehicles. Each welder is approved for Tesla Models S, X, 3 and Y.

The resistance spot welders, CTR9 and CTR 12000 are approved for steel resistance spot welding during structural repairs on Tesla vehicles. Each welder is approved for Tesla Models S, X, 3 and Y.

The CTR9 requires Car-O-Liner standard 13 mm welding caps and software version 4.00.00 Build 2 or higher to conform to the approval specification. The CTR12000 requires Car-O-Liner standard 13 mm welding caps and software version 4.00.00 Build 2 or higher.
