Right across the motor, transport and leisure industries there are all too many instances, where people find vehicles and equipment failing because of incorrect or underpowered battery choice.

This is a message that battery supplier Hi-Volt is highlighting, encouraging customers to select batteries that are 100% appropriate for the power needs they have to meet. Richard Gleeson of Hi-Volt says, “The demands placed on vehicle batteries in particular have grown immensely in recent years, so when replacing a battery, it is vital to choose one that can fully meet the required power requirements.” He adds, “If you compromise on your battery choice and go for an underpowered or inferior quality battery, then you run the risk of short battery life, or breakdowns.”

Richard points out that in the automotive sector the growing level of equipment on modern cars can place a huge strain on an incorrect battery often even when the vehicle is not in use. He says, “Our Ampac Autopac battery range is manufactured to exceed vehicles power requirements to cope with these added demands. This means that the battery can cope with the additional electrical requirements, will last longer and will always start the vehicle.”

The problem of under-powered batteries can be even more acute when it comes to commercial vehicles. Many long haul vehicles are fitted with inverters to power domestic appliances for overnight stops and traditional truck starting batteries are not designed to cope with this load. Hi-Volt therefore offers Ampac Transpac Super Heavy Duty batteries for this type of usage, a power unit that combines the properties of a starter battery and a traction battery which is much better at coping with regular extreme discharge and recharge cycles.

Hi-Volt offers a complete range of batteries for all types of application including, automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural, construction and leisure use.
