Adam Morgan won a close final race in his WIX Filtration backed Ciceley Motorsport prepared Mercedes-Benz A-Class in the opening round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch last weekend.
Earlier in the day Adam had taken ninth in the opening race, after he was held up by an incident with the MG6 of Josh Cook which allowed a chasing pack of cars to surge by. He also secured eighth place in race two.
Speaking after the race Adam said, “I’m over the moon. It was a tough race with the BMWs behind me but the car had good pace and we improved that over the weekend so I knew that I had the machinery to do the job in the last race. I knew I had to get past Sam as soon as I could because front-wheel drive cars warm up the tyres quicker than the rear-wheel drive ones so there was a chance of gaining an advantage early on, and I made the best start of my life I reckon as well so it was game on! It’s just a great start to the season.”
