With used car values on the increase and quality used vehicles in short supply, it has never been more important to keep borderline write-off cars on the road after an accident. Toyota Ireland is assisting Ireland’s accident repairers in this quest, both in terms of easy administration and fast turnaround of its write-off avoidance scheme and excellent availability and delivery across its range of genuine Toyota replacement parts and panels.
Arthur Power of Toyota Ireland says, “As lockdown travel restrictions are eased, more cars on the road will inevitably mean increased accident volumes. In anticipation of this, we have boosted stock of key panels and repair parts that we know are likely to be in high demand, to ensure excellent ongoing availability.” He adds, “Unlike many aftermarket suppliers we now source all products direct from Europe, so face no Brexit delays or additional cost issues. Our dealers can also offer fast local delivery straight to the repairers door, where ever they are, as accident repair parts are classed as essential items.”
Arthur also says that even throughout lockdown, the Toyota Write-Off Avoidance Programme continued to assist bodyshops all over Ireland in keeping vehicles on the road that otherwise might have been scrapped. The programme is open to all repairers and garages, allowing them to work with insurers and their Toyota dealer, to use additional parts discounts on qualifying cars, so that they can be safely repaired and kept on the road.
The scheme has given hundreds of borderline uneconomical repair Toyotas a new lease of life, saving money for the owner, while also boosting the bodyshop’s business. The motorist also gets to keep a sometimes cherished vehicle, avoid the inconvenience and expense of sourcing a replacement car, while also getting the peace of mind of a quality repair using genuine Toyota parts.
As well as insurance work, the scheme can also be applied to cash jobs and can cover instances such as serious flood damage. Repairers wishing to avail of the Toyota Write-Off Avoidance Programme, should contact their local Toyota Dealer Parts Department, from the 46 strong nationwide Toyota dealer network.
