Electronic automotive components remanufacturer ACtronics had a colourful stand at Automechanika Birmingham with the lighting scheme in harmony with the music being played by the ACtronics sound system.
The company was featuring over twenty new to range additions to its product portfolio of precision remanufactured components. The additions reflect current market demand and all items are extensively tested to ensure quality that will very often out last the original part. The logistic process is quick and easy and the time it takes to have a perfectly remanufactured part returned to a garage can often be shorter than order lead time for a new part.
New to range additions included instrument clusters and climate control displays for Alfa, Fiat, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Mitsubishi and VAG models and throttle bodies for Aston Martin, Nissan and VAG models. The company has also expanded its very extensive offering on ECUs with units for Mercedes, PSA and Toyota and TCU for many popular Mercedes applications. Also now available is the MINI power steering pump which is currently an item in high demand in the independent aftermarket.
In addition to its busy stand ACtronics also took an active role in the extensive programme of seminars at Automechanika with MD Thijs Jasink giving a presentation entitled "The Circular Car” in the Technical Talk theatre. In this he highlighted the growing sophistication of vehicle systems and the need for independent workshops to specialise in specific areas, or specific makes to succeed in the future. He also explained how component remanufacturing was becoming the norm as the industry comes under growing pressure to reduce its environmental impact.
