Garage technicians visiting the forthcoming MechanEx Show at Alexandra Palace in London will have the opportunity of showing off their spark plug changing skills.

The NGK Spark Plugs stand will once again feature the NGK Quick Change Challenge at the event on March 24th and 25th, with the winner receiving an NGK jacket and prizes for the second and third placed participants.

The ignition specialist continues to set the pace 40 years after entering the aftermarket and will display its new range of NTK exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS) and its expanded ignition coils range at MechanEx.

Marko Wowczyna, Automotive Director at NGK said, “We are looking forward to exhibiting at MechanEx and informing our current and potential new customers about our products and new initiatives in this our 40th UK anniversary year. Our staff will also be on hand to help deal with any  technical queries.”

EGTS are thermistor devices that monitor the exhaust gas temperatures to enable the efficient operation and protection of vital components, including turbo chargers, located directly in the flow of those hot gases. The NTK EGTS are OE in approximately 35 percent of global passenger car sensor applications and are a popular choice for vehicle manufacturers  as they provide extreme resilience against heat and vibrations have high measuring accuracy, fast light-off times and an exceptionally wide measuring range.

The company’s recently expanded its ignition coils range, which now comprises 341 ignition coils, offering excellent application coverage.
