Spies Hecker have introduced Permasolid HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650, a new lacquer which provides simple application and extra-fast drying and is designed for everything from standard repairs to Speed Repair.

With a drying time of 10 to 35 minutes at 60°C metal temperature, new Spies Hecker Permasolid HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650 boasts a wide variety of application options meaning that good results are achieved even in less favourable conditions in the spray booth. The product is perfectly adapted to all Permahyd basecoat systems, including the new generation waterborne basecoat, Permahyd Hi-TEC, and is applied in 1.5 coats.

Dan Hartland, Spies Hecker Brand Marketing Coordinator for the UK and Ireland, says, “In the development of the product, we wanted to make the application process for clear coats even more efficient.” He adds, “Thanks to its rapid drying, Permasolid HS Optimum Plus Clear Coat 8650 can be quickly and easily polished which boosts bodyshop productivity.”

Spies Hecker say the high solids product is suitable for avariety of different repair methods. The clear coat can be used for partial and full resprays as well as for spot repairs. The VOC-compliant clear coat is ideally suited for bodyshops that frequently carry out Speed Repairs.
