Ford Ireland welcomes the agreement reached whereby Ashley Motors will assume ownership of Rialto Motors. This sees the Ford retail and servicing presence at the site on Herberton Road maintained, and jobs secured.

The continuing decline in volumes and margins in the car trade had rendered the business unsustainable in its existing form” says Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director, Ford Ireland.

“Ashley Motors is among the most successful dealers in the Ford network and its continued expansion augurs well for the Blue Oval in the capital. “Under the agreement, existing customers of Rialto Motors can rest assured they will continue to enjoy the highest levels of service from the facility at Herberton Road,” he continued.
