Audi Ireland has a new man at the helm. Australian born Andrew Doyle takes over from Fintan Knight, who has moved to take up the position of Commercial Director at Lamborghini SpA (Bologna).

Andrew Doyle will be responsible for continuing the implementation of the €80 million long-term retail development plan announced in February 2010.  The investment will result in a nationwide network of 14 dedicated full-time dealerships and will increase staff numbers at retail level to over 150 over the next three years.

Mr. Doyle has over 18 years experience in the motoring industry, working with Audi Australia and the BMW Group. Recently he has been responsible for helping Audi Australia with a similar dealer development plan. He has also been instrumental in Audi Australia tripling its market share and volume over the last five years.

Wayne Griffiths, Director (Region Overseas), of Audi AG, said, “Ireland is an important market for Audi in Europe and plays a key role in our drive to become the number one prestige car brand by 2015. Andrew Doyle will bring the same ambition and drive that helped establish Audi as the fastest growing prestige brand in Australia over the last 5 years.”
