Audi Ireland has announced its total sales figures of 3,647 units for 2012. In the last 12 months, Audi has increased its sales by 7.1% to consolidate its place yet again as Ireland’s number one premium car brand for the fourth year running. The impressive year-on-year growth gives Audi a 4.6% market share, the most it has ever enjoyed in the Irish market.

Despite the total car market being down over 10% in 2012, Audi’s unrivalled product development and continued investment in its dealer network has ensured sustained growth against this backdrop of uncertainty.

Andrew Doyle, Managing Director of Audi Ireland commented; “We at Audi Ireland are delighted to have enjoyed such a successful year and to finish 2012 as the best selling premium car brand in the market place. Audi’s success is attributed to premium product, leading efficiency and an unrivalled value and quality proposition that none of our competitors can match.

“2013 is going to be an extremely interesting and challenging one for the motor industry. However, our early order intake is once again very strong and we look forward to increasing our momentum throughout 2013 with the continuation of the company’s aggressive product plan. The coming months will see even more fantastic new product with the sleeker, sportier, more fuel efficient Audi A3 Sportback model due to arrive in early 2013.”

2012 witnessed the continued development in Audi’s dealer network with investment in its state-of-the-art showrooms. This new era of motoring will progress throughout 2013 with the opening of Audi Naas in late January.

“The ongoing investment in our dealer network is a significant statement of intent. These new showrooms will superbly showcase the exciting 2013 Audi model range and provide an unparalleled customer experience.”
