Audi Ireland has reported impressive sales figures for the first three months of 2014 with a total of 2235 vehicles sold nationwide.

This strong performance represents an 8.6% growth in registrations compared to the same period last year. Audi currently has 4.5% of the total Irish car market year-to-date.

This strong start to the 141 registration period can be attributed to Audi's unrivalled product offering and its flexible finance packages.  In particular the Audi A3 saloon has contributed to the significant performance of the A3 family with a growth of 66% year-on-year. Audi has maintained its position as the number one premium car manufacturer in Ireland with 34.5% of the premium car market.

Christian Gussen, managing director, Audi Ireland commented; "We have had a fantastic start to 2014 as we reconfirm Audi's position as the number one car brand in the premium market.

"Our continued success in the Irish market can be attributed to a number of factors. Since the New Year, the car industry has been boosted by greater consumer confidence amongst Irish motorists. The strength of our product portfolio including the hugely successful Audi A3 Saloon and our flagship A8 model, in conjunction with our attractive Personal Contract Plan (PCP) rates has contributed to a successful quarter.

"Our continued commitment to first class customer service and the arrival of exciting new models including the A3 Cabriolet and the Audi TT later this year ensures that we are well positioned for more sustainable growth in 2014."
