Details of this year’s Autoinform Training Weekend have been announced. The event takes place on 28th and 29th November, once again at GTG Training Academy in Wolverhampton. Last year the programme of technical presentation and seminars proved to be a big success, attracting many visitors from Ireland and organisers hope that this year will be even bigger and better.


Some of the seminars already confirmed for the weekend are:
  • Schaeffler - Transmission-  VW DSG Cltuch change and IMI Certified accreditation.
  • Bosch- ABS Sensor testing and Diagnostics
  • Frank Massey- Diagnostics- Direct Petrol, flexible fuelling and design.
  • Keith 'Diesel' Geach- Diesel systems- Workshop techniques that re-write the rule book. Choosing the right tools and understanding how and when to apply them.
  • KYB- Chassis- Assembly of some tricky and unusual shock absorbers. (Hands-on session)
  • John Padgett- Bussiness- Legal compliance, Duty of care, Compliance and responsibility
  • Schaeffler- Engine- Hands on Timing belt changes new techniques on difficult applications.
  • NGK & Bosch- A demo of Systems diagnostics of engine management sensors including NGK/NTK wide band lambda sensors.
  • Paul Marshall- Network Systems- discussing diagnostics and the problems we face.
  • ZF Service - Hybrid- 8HP Transmission with Hybrid system technology training.
  • Bosch & Mann Hummel, Corteco, - Filtration- Common Rail injector testing, Servicing and Highlighting quantity errors.
Other seminar and sessions are to be announced.

Various packages are available including an all inclusive weekend ticket with evening meal for £175+vat pp and a Day Pass at £99+vat pp.

The impressive venue is the GTG Training Academy, Bearing Drive, Wolverhampton, WV11 3SZ, which includes huge fully equipped workshops and classrooms facilities. The location is only a short drive from Birmingham Airport and is also easily accessible for any Irish visitors who wish to travel by ferry.
