Automechanika Birmingham has officially opened its doors as it returns to bring together leading brands and senior professionals from the automotive aftermarket and vehicle production sectors from across the UK and Ireland.
A packed audience saw mechanic and motorcycle racer turned television presenter, Guy Martin, officially “cut the ribbon” and open the doors to the show at 9.30am, welcoming visitors from all areas of the automotive industry.
Held at the NEC, over the next three days the show features more than 500 exhibitors, with visitors including parts distributors, garages, tyre fitters, retailers, dealerships and vehicle manufacturers. Leading exhibitors for 2019 include: Schaeffler, ZF, Hella, Yuasa, Denso, Delphi Technologies, Valeo, NGK, Bosch and Mann Filter, with 120 new exhibitors including: Shell, Brembo, Sherwin Williams, APEC Braking, SIA Abrasives, KYB, Anest Iwata, Pioneer and Thatcham Research.
This year’s seminar programme features forum sessions and technical talks, from over 75 expert speakers, trainers and key players, tailored to garages, factors and suppliers, including more than 100 hours of free training seminars and debates for technicians.
Also featured is the new Big UK Garage Event, geared towards helping garages grow their business and a new Bodyshop Zone, featuring collision repair, paint and refinishing training as well as live demos from expert trainers.
Jack Halliday, Event Director of Automechanika Birmingham, said, “The automotive industry deserves an enormous amount of credit for coming together at Automechanika Birmingham to do business and celebrate innovation within the sector. 2019 is the last year before the show returns in 2021, so pre-event registration numbers have been looking extremely strong, with an increase in the number of motor factors and garages registering.”
Automechanika Birmingham is currently taking place from 4-6 June at the NEC in Halls 18, 19 and 20.
