Aviva signs up with major repair chain

One of Ireland’s major vehicle insurance companies, Aviva Insurance, is understood to have reached an agreement with an accident repair centre chain, regarding the provision of recommended repairers for Aviva insured drivers.

During June, bodyshops that had been Aviva approved repairers, received a letter giving notice of the termination of existing repair agreements. This effectively served time on many long and successful relationships that existed between Aviva and many of its approved repairers around the country.

Following a brief consultation period, it appears that Aviva have now decided to appoint one major bodyshop chain to provide approved repair services on a nationwide basis, as well as certain telephone call centre services.

Autobiz has requested a comment from Aviva Insurance on these developments, but this was not forthcoming at the time of going to press.
