Jonathan Leonard, Service Technician, Eamonn Tarrant & Sons Ltd has been awarded the prestigious title of national ŠKODA Service Technician champion, as part of the ŠKODA service challenge 2014.
Jonathan will now go on to compete in an international competition representing Ireland in the Service Technician category and compete for the title of Individual World Champion.
Now in its fifth year, the ŠKODA service challenge has become an important benchmark for measuring the qualities of the best employees in the global ŠKODA service network and includes three different categories; Parts & Accessory Manager, Service Advisor and Service Technician.
Jonathan, a native of Banteer has claimed the title ahead of other ŠKODA employees from the national dealership network for the Service Technician Category. With over nine years’ experience in the motoring industry, Jonathan has previously claimed a ŠKODA award for distinguished performance in the national skills competition. During his time at Eamonn Tarrant & Sons nine, he completed his apprenticeship with a merit, and received a phase 6 best motor mechanic apprentice CIT 2009.
The Service Challenge is the largest comparative event for employees in the ŠKODA service network and consists of several rounds and focuses on theoretical as well as practical knowledge.

Jonathan is a very worthy winner and has demonstrated his commitment and knowledge over the past year. Jonathan will now represent Ireland in the Spring in ŠKODA HQ in the Czech Republic and we wish him all the best”.
