Brake supplier Borg & Beck has introduced Double Rubber Shimmed Pads to its BECKTEC range.  

The First Line Group has made the introduction as part of its goal to provide independents with the best possible aftermarket braking programme. The new double rubber BECKTEC shimmed brake pads, will stand alongside its BECKTEC coated discs, in an improved and expanded Borg & Beck braking line up.

In addition to their original equipment compound specification and formulation, which incorporates fine metallic fibres and provides superb braking performance, Borg & Beck pads now feature  market leading technology with the inclusion of BECKTEC double rubber shims.

The company says in their striking Borg & Beck corporate blue, not only do these shims look fantastic, but they deliver anti-vibration and noise reduction benefits that set them apart from any comparable, premium quality, aftermarket programme.

BECKTEC shimmed pads come with all the appropriate associated fitting components and wear indicators, so technicians can be sure they will be able to complete the job efficiently. The new pads are also kinder on the environment by using a copper free formulation that is less corrosive on the disc.

Application coverage is comprehensive with more than 1,300 pads available. The introduction of BECKTEC coated discs and shimmed pads will be phased in to the majority of the Borg & Beck Braking range during 2015.
