The bilstein group is always a major player at Automechanika Frankfurt and this year was no exception, with its febi and Blue Print brands taking centre stage. 

Blue Print celebrates 30 years in the market this year and the Blue Print team were on hand, to talk about how the brand continues to achieve great success, by staying true to its original philosophy of right first time fit, exceptional quality and great value. 

Over the years the product range has expanded greatly and now spans 160 product types, with more than 27,000 spare parts. Although there is still an emphasis towards Asian vehicle makes, the brand now also offers excellent coverage on European and American origin vehicles. 

Visitors to the stand were told how Blue Print’s expanding range of OE-specification components, very often includes first to market items, where the brand is first and often even unique in supplying spare parts for new vehicles. This ‘Fast to Market’ philosophy ensures that new articles are introduced for the latest models as soon as possible and of course all Blue Print parts come with the reassurance of 3 Year Manufacturer Guarantee. 

This year also saw added emphasis on the Blue Print range for Light Commercial Vehicles. This is a comprehensive all-makes programme covering all the key in-demand components needed to service vans and pick-ups. Blue Print highlighted how these offer perfect fit, first time, every time, across a dynamic and continually expanding range of products designed and manufactured to OE standards. 

Sister brand febi also had a big presence on the stand and was also highlighting it expertise in the LCV sector as well as its huge range of parts for passenger vehicles which includes many articles that are often perceived to be only available from the vehicle manufacturer or associated original supplier under the febiPLUS range. 

Other products highlighted were febi Starters and Alternators, with a range of over 350 items for the vast majority of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. All are completely new throughout, with no old core surcharge or remanufactured parts. This improves quality and makes repairs more time efficient. It also eliminates the environmental impact associated with the logistics of returns. 

febi Timing Chain and Belt Kits were also in focus. febi provides timing chains from the OE manufacturers with kits which contain all the required parts for a professional replacement. febi timing components also offer high durability, precision fit and strict compliance with vehicle manufacturer requirements. 

On the truck side febi was also showing auxiliary belt drive components for commercial vehicles, with a constantly growing range covering 98% of all road-going and agricultural models from the ‘BIG 8’ and for those from emerging manufacturers. The range includes belts, tensioner assemblies, tensioner pulleys, idler pulleys, and, offering workshops total repair solutions, complete auxiliary belt kits.
