Barry Motors are proud to announce the phenomenal achievement of leading BMW Technician, Gary Curley, who has recently obtained BMW’s Master Technician status. Gary is the first BMW Master Technician in the West of Ireland and one of only two in the Republic of Ireland.

To achieve this qualification, Curley first took part in the Automotive Technician Accreditation, a voluntary assessment scheme that proves a technician’s competence, giving peace of mind to customers as well as raising the professional status and credibility of skilled individuals and their businesses. Curley was then picked by BMW as part of a select group of 53 technicians from Europe to participate in the Master Technician programme. This tough programme has a pass rate of just 5%. In 2008, 53 technicians took part in the assessment programme and only 11 qualified as Master Technicians. This is the highest achievable position for a BMW Technician, making Gary one of the two most highly qualified technicians in Ireland.
