Reducing the risk of Covid-19 transmission and maintaining a high level of customer service can be tricky balancing act for bodyshops and garages when it comes to vehicle collection and delivery. However, one innovative UK accident repair centre has employed a black cab to offer a safe solution.

Auto Bodytech of Nailsworth in Gloucestershire has brought into service a London taxi which is used to give customers a lift hone from the bodyshop when they drop their vehicle off, or to collect the customer when the repair is complete. Because the cab has dividing screen its makes the whole process much safer. The cab is also cleaned and sanitised between uses.

Auto Bodytech managing director, Simon Harwood, commented, “This service, in addition to our Covid-19 pre and post-work vehicle sanitisation, means that customers feel much safer in the current climate.”
