A new charity event, the Bohernabreena Classic Car Show and Fair, is set to take place on Sunday July 7th adjacent to Bohernabreena Church in Dublin 24.  

The event takes place on a 15 acre site and will feature a huge variety of classic cars, automotive market traders, local craft traders, food and drink, live music and entertainment. It has been organised by car enthusiasts who came up with the idea in the local GAA club and who wanted to give something back to the local community after some tough years. Proceeds and donations from the event will go to the Pieta House charity. 

The show will be sponsored by Karl Goodwin Motors. Karl is born and bred in the Bohernabreena area.

Vehicles confirmed for the day already include a vintage military tank, a vintage fire engine and several historical racing cars. 20 classic Irish car clubs are on board including; Jaguar, Daimler, RS owners of Ireland featuring their classic Fords, Fiat Ireland , Lancia Ireland, BMW Ireland , Irish Mini owners club, the American owners club and a few clubs travelling from Wicklow, Wexford and the Midlands. 

There will be a trade village for automotive stalls selling items such as number plates, bumper stickers, steering wheels and detailing products. In addition the craft market village will be selling local produce like jam’s and honeys and art work, as well as featuring wood turners, picture frame makers, and more. 

There will also be live music entertainment on stage with performance‘s throughout the day from local talents and artist and musicians including the classic band Be Bop Gold. 

The organisers hope to capture the spirit, if not yet the scale, of the now defunct Terenure Car Show, which was a fixture in the classic car calendar for some 25 years. 

The organisers are offering free entry to cars and visitors alike and asking for donations on the day going towards the Pieta House Charity which is close to a lot of the committee member’s hearts.

The Bohernabreena Classic Car Show and Fair is on Sunday July 7th  in Bohernabreena, Dublin 24.
