Air conditioning system servicing is an area of great potential for the aftermarket, but also carries with it certain environmental dangers. Recognising this, Bosch has introduced new AC service equipment with environmentally-friendly, high precision measuring technology.

The new ACS 651 and ACS 751 offer a fully automatic service without the need for manual intervention, including: refrigerant recovery, refrigerant recycling, used oil drain, vacuum and associated leak test, recharge of fresh oil with UV additives and refrigerant recharge.  However, these machines also offer the manual selection of individual service modes for various AC trouble-shooting, creating a flexible solution for vehicle air conditioning service.

Both the ACS 651 and ACS 751 are suitable for cars and trucks, with the integrated vehicle database ensuring quick and easy selection of specific air conditioning parameters before the service starts. This includes hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as vehicles that are powered by traditional combustion engines. This is possible thanks to the internal design of the two separate fresh oil circuits, ensuring no oil contamination occurs during a service.

The ACS 651 and 751 are both certified by the CE/PED, with the ACS 751 also meeting the requirements of the strict US SAE J-2788. These machines achieve a precise refrigerant recharge accuracy making them highly on refrigerant recovery rates. The devices also benefit from an integrated in-line filter that retains even the finest of particles, protecting the device from damage, whilst hermetically sealed bottles protect the system from water penetration, preventing corrosion of vehicle components.

Day-to-day use is simple, with the units’ large wheels and practical handles. There is also timely display of all pending maintenance activity in order to ensure that the AC service is of the highest quality. The robust trolley can be transported to any location in the workshop and the operating unit with its clearly designed keyboard, 3.5 inch colour display and integrated printer fold away allowing for easy transportation and storage solutions. The units also offer the evaluation of refrigerant fluctuations on a monthly or annual basis and the data can be transferred to a USB stick, which maximises convenience for the garage.
