As part of the launch of the new Audi A3 in Copenhagen, the Volkswagen Group has formally recognised Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (BMTS) as one of its leading suppliers by presenting the company with the Volkswagen Group Award 2012.

In particular Volkswagen management noted the outstanding reliability and innovative approach shown by BMTS, with a lively exchange of knowledge between the two companies contributing to mutual success in the development and improvement of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines.

One of the factors in the success of BMTS is its focus on quality and reliability, something that is reflected in the end of line test developed and introduced by BMTS. This unique additional quality assurance from BMTS means at the end of the production line, the turbochargers are driven with cold compressed air and subjected to a performance and leakage test to guarantee optimum interplay of all the components, which are made to minimum manufacturing tolerances.
