Bosch takes touchscreen to a new level
Share:

Bosch will be showcasing a new concept car at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas designed to highlight advances in its touch screen technology.

The car features a dashboard filled entirely with touch screens, while displays are also featured on the door panels and stretching up the centre console. The screens have been designed to minimise driver distraction and to do this Bosch has developed screens that can generate different surface textures when pressed. This means specific elements on the screen can be felt meaning drivers will be able to operate different systems within the infotainment system, including navigation and the radio, purely by touch and without having to actually look down at the display.

Bosch has also developed an in-car infotainment system, which can provide controls for a number of household functions such as heating and security systems through use with a smartphone.
