Chinese electric car maker BYD’s has released a video of it YangWang U9 sports car jumping over potholes and spikes without the use of a ramp.

The car uses a special suspension system, known as Disus X suspension, which allows it to hop into the air on demand. BYD claim the car can leap a distance of 6M, although it only actually rises 35mm of the ground .

The manoeuvre is similar to a skateboard move know as an Ollie, although the exact use it has appears unclear. The YangWang U9 is a sports car in €200,000 price bracket and the unique suspension means it can drive on 3 wheels. In the latest test track video it jumps over a pothole and some spikes all while self driving.
