Bodyshop equipment supplier Car-O-Liner has made its handEye app available in an Android version which is now downloadable Google Play.

handEye is a mobile software application for vehicle measurement which communicates with a computer via wireless network technology and is compatible with the Car-O-Tronic™ Vision measuring system. This means that whatever the software is showing on the computer screen is also visible in the users Smart Phone. This allows the user to perform complex measuring tasks without the need to move back and forth between the vehicle and the computer screen as the information is in their hand.

handEye is also available for iOS Apple devices and may be downloaded from the App Store.

Car-O-Liner has also announced that its Vision2 software has once again won the Innovation Award Gold Medal at Automechanika Johannesburg, S. Africa.  in the beginning of May. A jury of industry experts concluded, “In the eyes of the jury, Car-O-Liner’s Vision2 Software, exemplified a state-of-the-art means of quickly and efficiently measuring collision damaged vehicles, helping to reduce cycle times and aiding accurate, efficient and safe alignment work throughout the repair process.”

The software also won a gold medal last year at the Innovation Awards at Automechanika Frankfurt. The photo-based Vision2 software, which guides repair and performs automatic centring, measuring and documentation, is easy and quick to use, cutting the time it takes to complete repair measurements by as much as 20%.
