As part of its global partnership with the Worldskills organisation, Car-O-Liner has once again played a key role in sponsoring the WorldSkills UK Body Repair Finals 2024 which were held at Bolton College recently.
Car-O-Liner has been providing equipment and manpower to WorldSkills Competitions since 2009 and is an official Global Partner to the WorldSkills movement which helps young people change their lives through skills and training.
At the UK finals, Car-O-Liner provided equipment and support as well as judging in the body repair category.
Managing Director, Stuart Alexander, said “Having been judging, supporting, training and sponsoring the WorldSkills for many years, I have seen a lot of exceptionally good young Body Repairers with great attitude, personalities, aptitude, and potential. This is encouraging to see, as an industry we are crying out for the next generation of talent, it is a must that we encourage and nurture them to secure the future of the collision repair industry. With all the advancements and improvements in the motor industry, such as aluminium, electric and autonomous vehicles, the collision repair sector is more appealing than ever.”
Stuart added, “It is great to see many of our industry partners have invested heavily in their apprenticeship programmes, also. As well as supporting our partners apprenticeship programmes, Car-O-Liner has always been delighted to be the first choice and the main sponsor of the WorldSkills UK competitions since they began in 2012, with the intention and insight to supporting the wider collision repair industry as a whole”.
