Parts specialists Blue Print has highlighted a key replacement part that is often overlooked by garages, the Charger Intake Hose.

Charger intake hoses help to control the air entering the engine intake manifold. If an intake hose is worn or develops cracks, it can leak. This can lead to stalling or debris entering the engine. It can also mean a reduction in speed, low speed judder and misfires.

Blue Print says that as a result of meeting strict emission targets, turbo power has become less resilient, which has increased the demand for Charger Intake Hoses. This is due to the exposure of high temperatures, extreme pressure and a huge amount of stress. To check for debris presence, often the whole turbo and Intake Hose has to be inspected and therefore replaced.

Blue Print offers a comprehensive range of high quality Charger Intake Hose replacements. These are manufactured to OE standards, providing high durability and oil-resistant properties. The inner layer is designed to withstand high-temperature gasses at pressure, and the outer layer is resistant to oil, fuel and coolant, protecting the hose from substances it may come into contact with while the engine is running.

Blue print has highlighted one hose which it says is in especially high demand at present and is often perceived as only being available for the dealer. This is ADS76908 (OE Number: 21869AA170, to fit: Subaru Forester (2012<), Legacy (2008<2014), Outback (2009<2015), XV (2011<).
