Tool and equipment specialist Chicago Pneumatic was making a big impact last month at a series of trade evening in Northern Ireland. The events were held over three nights as part of a centenary celebration for Chicago Pneumatic distributor Fyfe’s Vehicle & Engineering Supplies.
The events gave the Chicago Pneumatic team the opportunity to show case their extensive product range and to give visitors a chance to win some of the equipment on show with the CP ‘Pit Stop Challenge’. This involves a special rig which allows technicians to take part in a competition to be fastest to remove and refit an AMG wheel using the cordless CP8848 Impact Wrench.
The competition proved very popular with visitors with Alan McKinstry being the overall winner, with an impressive time of 21 seconds and Nigel Annet coming in close behind in 22.6 seconds. Both won an ergonomic CP7736 ½ Pneumatic Impact Wrench capable of 900Nm in reverse for their efforts.
As well as the competition the Chicago Pneumatic stand had a constant stream of visitors keen to see the latest tool innovations. Two Impact Wrenches from the Ultra Compact Stubby range attracted lots of attention. The CP7732 ½” and new addition the CP7762 ¾” impressed mechanics.
The ultra compact CP7732 ½” is easy to use with an outstanding power to weight ratio, while the CP7762 ¾” is the first genuine stubby impact wrench and is ideal for use in very restricted space areas.
