With the pollen count now on the rise, some garages and motorists might start to think about cabin filter replacement. However, most motorists and many garages are still ignorant to the benefits of changing these important components.

This means drivers and passengers are suffering from poor quality in-car air and garages are missing out on an important business opportunity.

Cabin filter supplier MANN+HUNNEL has provided a useful illustration to show how cabin filters become contaminated over time, meaning that in-car air is often dirtier than the air outside the vehicle.

MANN+HUMMEL and most vehicle manufacturers recommend that cabin filters be replaced at least every 12 months or 12,000 miles to ensure optimum performance. As such, a cabin filter should also be a key element in every service kit. They also point out that these filters are now generally quicker and easier to fit and come with specific fitting instructions.

As an OE supplier, MANN offers a complete range of replacement filters for all types of vehicle. These filters are available from MANN stockists nationwide and are distributed by ADE.
